The Cake from 250th Book Celebration!

With more than 35 book categories, APG provides readers with the knowledge they need to be successful at whatever skill fits their fancy. Thursday marked the 250th book release from Atlantic Publishing Group Inc., your No. 1 source for nonfiction books.

The Complete Guide to Planning Your estate in Virginia: A Step-by-Step Plan for Virginia Residents to Protect Your Assets, Limit Your Taxes, and Ensure Your Wishes Are Fulfilled claimed the 250th book title, receiving a very special spot on the APG book shelf. This title is just one of an entire series for individual states including Florida, Illinois, Michigan, New Jersey, California, Georgia, Indiana, Georgia, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Washington, and Texas.

“I’m very pleased to pause and reflect on the tremendous success and growth of our book publishing program with the release of our 250th book today,” President of APG Douglas Brown said. “Despite the ongoing problems of a worldwide recession and a multitude of long-term issues affecting media and publishing industries, we have continued to prosper.”

Founded by Douglas and Sherri Brown, APG is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2010. Now an active publishing and distribution group, the company began as a cataloguer bounding onto the publishing scene in 2001, producing 16 titles in its first year. In May 2008, APG opened a 25,000-square-foot distribution center in Starke, Fla. The company continued to grow in 2009, releasing 57 new titles. As 2010 is barely underway, more than 20 titles have been sent to press.

“I’m very proud of our tremendous staff, and how we have addressed the challenges we have, and will continue, to face,” Douglas Brown said. “I have every confidence that we will continue to employ our expertise and company culture to keep Atlantic Publishing on the path to a prosperous future in a new age of publishing.”

  1. Freelance journalist Sandy Baker and attorney/writer Linda C Ashar have combined forces to publish the informative The Complete Guide to Planning Your Estate in Indiana”. The book gives the reader a chance to learn about Indiana law as it pertains to how they can go about planning and appointing their estate.
There are fourteen chapters with a glossary listing that would help readers to better understand the property jargon that is contained therein. In the first chapter one can learn about the Introduction to Estate Planning with sub chapters which delve into property types and it also takes a closer look at the key people involved in estate planning including the financial planner, accountant and insurance agent. The rest of the book also covers every aspect of estate planning including lowering federal estate taxes, putting insurance together to a chapter on what happens to the estate during a divorce and what the children are entitled to. Overall this book is one that your estate planner would not want you to see since, by the time you are finished reading it, you would be more than prepared to meet with and discuss your estate with confidence and decode estate attorney-speak.

  2. “Planning your Estate in Pennsylvania” is a well organized step by step plan on how to plan for your future in case of disability and/or death. The book goes over the basics of car, house, health, life and other basic insurances that may be necessary to your life. It also goes over the legal matters in which you may have to deal with or your family may have to deal with at some point, such as a will, trust, or power of attorney.
The book gives you vital information on what kind of legal information and what type of people you need in order to successfully come up with a plan. The book even provides sample paperwork and case studies to help you further understand what you are dealing with. It is not only good for residents of Pennsylvania, but the book also relates Pennsylvania laws to similar laws found in other states. That would be especially helpful if say you don’t live in Pennsylvania but have property there, or vice versa. The book lists other states rules and laws that either coincide or contradict Pennsylvania’s laws.
The book is easy to read and is very informational. It gives you examples and places to look for other information you may need outside of this book. It makes you think about things you may have never considered before when planning your estate. It also gives you the pros and cons of each decision you could make when planning your estate.
